Vase with Ring Handles

Vase with ring handles, imitating the Ge of the Song era, porcelain with a light green celadon crackled glaze. Flask-shaped vase, with a round body, surmounted by a long tubular neck. An order of cracks runs through the vase along its entire length, with a tendency to spiral and with a tighter mesh in the lower part.
Prof. Ye Zhemin asserts that it is a splendid vase from the Yongzheng era, inspired by the celadon (ge yao) of the Song (1723-1735). 'Superb, elegant piece'.
In the Museum since 1900. Gift of Sen. Fedele Lampertico.
