Many spoons have an anthropomorphic shape. The handle represents a figurine with an oval head with hair falling back to the nape of the neck and an angled band with contiguous squares engraved on the cheeks, the body is made up of an open lozenge that perhaps represents the legs. The patina is yellowish with large porous areas.
Spoons are used in various rituals of the Lega people, but are not used for eating, except on rare occasions.
