Anthropomorphic mask of ovoid shape, made of light wood; the eyes are prominent slit-like, joined to the bridge of the nose which, prominent, prismatic, with a wide base with holes for nostrils placed in an almost frontal position, joined to the wide arched superciliary arches, creates the characteristic 'heart' shape of the faces of the Lega mask.
The 'idimu' wooden masks are large, have long beards and are almost always completely whitewashed. From a functional point of view, they differ from the small masks because they are kept in collective baskets, and away from alien gazes. They are considered 'mothers', the origin of energy and protectors of the smallest masks.
