Qing Yuan coin, Southern Song dynasty, Emp. Ningzong (1198), bronze. Emperor Ningzong (1195-1224) reigned for 30 years, and had 5 reign titles: Qing yuan (1195-1200); Jia Tai (1201-04); Kai Xi(1205-07); Sheng Song (1208-10) and finally Jia Ding (1208-24). The coinage of this Emperor is the most interesting and diversified of the entire Song Dynasty.
