Two storks are depicted in the center of the picture. Behind them, on the left of the picture, a pine tree, with a long branch that descends downwards and a peach tree with flowers and fruit. Some mushrooms (zhi) at the foot of the pine, and flowers and shrubs on the slope at the base of the picture.
The painting is symbolic and, perhaps, it is a wedding gift. In fact, storks represent conjugal fidelity; peaches are a symbol of love; pines and mushrooms are a wish for a long life.
Technique: brush tempera on canvas and cut out paper and silk.
