Sept. 13th - Guided Visit to the exhibit "Possessed but Free Women"

A guided tour of the temporary exhibit "Possessed but Free Women" will take place on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
Father Antonino Melis, a Xaverian, linguist, and anthropologist, who developed the temporary exhib "Possessed but Free Women," will lead us on an in-depth tour of the ritual power of women among the Musey (Moussey) of Chad and Cameroon, between sacred possession and social liberation, guiding us to the heart of one of the most fascinating and complex ritual practices in sub-Saharan Africa.
“The exhibit - comments Fr. Tonino - is not only an opportunity to discover artifacts, expressions of ancient craftsmanship, but a clear demonstration of how women can place themselves at the center of vital social and cultural dynamics, transforming their own status and the customs of an entire population”.
Don't miss this unique opportunity. The visit will be in Italian.
