New on-line series that helps discover world traditions and lifestyle
Following the on-line series dedicated to story tales of the world, much appreciated by all, the museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography presents a new initiative entitled "Rites and customs from the world" which will provide knowledge of distant populations.
Five appointments are scheduled, with rituals and traditions from faraway countries where the Xaverian missionaries work: China, sub-Saharan Africa, Japan, Amazonia, and the Americas.
This series is available on Facebook, Youtube, LinkedIn and the Museum Website, with the following titles: "Geisha: millennial female charm", "Calligraphy between art and nature", "The cosmogony of the Kayapò people", "African art and its interpretation "and finally "The Bwami, the secret society of the Lega people".
The goal - says Chiara Allegri, events and marketing manager - is to reveal traditions of other cultures, of which the Museum conserves valuable pieces, thus spreading knowledge, rites and traditions of distant countries, which are incredibly fascinating”.
The museum offers now a new tool: visitors can now undertake the visit of the collections through the use of the app MuseOn. Easily downloadable on your device (Smartphone or tablet) once you arrive at the museum, it works without the use of Wi-Fi, and will allow you to live a personalized guided tour, including educational, audio and video screens.
