Video 3 AHYMÉ Festival – Gasandji

17 October 2019

AHYMÉ Video 3 – Oct. 14th, Festival of African culture and music with GASANDJI and LUIGI PANICO.

It was a great delight to host the artists of the Ahymé Festival. Even the last concert on Monday Oct. 14th  with the presence of the talented artist Gasandji, accompanied by Luigi Panico, did not disappoint, indeed.

This singer and guitarist with a Congolese background, singing in Lingala, French or English, is an artist who touches her audience whole-heartedly. Her haunting, magical voice has been heard at a great number of festivals. On stage she exudes an air of class, empathy and finesse; her glamorous voice and the traditions of her home melt together with soul, pop, reggae and jazz.

“I have an unshakeable faith in the sincerity and creativity of music and it demonstrates everything I believe in: building strong relationships, trying to be the best of myself, and continuing the daily fight for happiness.”

As you might imagine, the concert with Gasandji was sold out with a full house!

For the museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography, it was the first collaboration with international musicians, and for each artist it was the first experience in Parma, and moreover the first performance in a museum.

Thanks to the public that accepted our invitation, and the great work done by all the Festival staff. We are already planning to create new concerts and musical suggestions.
