Square-shaped personal stamp (Yin shang), in ocher colored plastic. It is contained in a rectangular case, in lacquered wood, with two slots: for the stamp and for the red ink pad.
Together with silk and porcelain, lacquerware constitutes one of China's major contributions to universal art. For twenty-five centuries, lacquerware in China has been considered an artistic and luxury object.
Soft, pleasant, velvety, with a luster that is both warm and brilliant, surprisingly light, and yet extremely resistant, lacquer objects have an irresistible charm, with incomparable quality: they are resistant to boiling water, to humidity, to acids and heat.
