Ding Tripod Vase
Ding tripod vase - Ming Dynasty. Intaglio decoration, flat (only the dragons' eyes protruding, forming the taotie). This class of 'ding' ritual vessels is one of the oldest and has terracotta prototypes in the Yangshao period, and was used for cooking meats.
