Mirror holder in the shape of an animal, unicorn - Ming Dynasty. Statue of a unicorn, an animal dear to both Taoists and Confucians, who make it the symbol of perfection.
In 'Fede e Civiltà - Faith and civilization', the magazine of the Xaverians, in the June 1914 issue, it was written: 'The refined modeling of the bronze, with the head intent on the mirror, with the front legs in nervous movement, keeps the observer in a pleasant atmosphere of oriental art...'.
