With the 2023 edition, the Ahymé festival celebrates the universal value of international poetry and music, focusing on multi-ethnic interaction and the ability of sounds and words to connect cultures of distant lands.

Irma Kurti (Albania) - Poems in music from the land of our ancestors
A special meeting with one of the most brilliant and multifaceted creative minds on the cultural scene, Irma Kurti live, together with "E-Wired Empathy" or Luca Nobis, Giovanni Amighetti and Roberto Gualdi and with the special introduction of Chiara Allegri, director of Museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography.
Irma Kurti is a leading figure in poetry, writing, songwriting and journalism. Originally from Albania, Irma began writing when she was a child, embarking on a path of creative exploration that led her to win numerous awards and have a significant impact on Albanian culture and beyond..
In 1980, Irma Kurti was honored with the first national prize on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the magazine "Pionieri". This recognition represented the beginning of an extraordinary career. In 1989, when she obtained the second prize at the National Competition organized by Radio Tirana, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania, once again demonstrating her talent.
She is also known to the public as the author of lyrics of numerous successful songs, which have been performed in multiple national and international festivals, helping to define the panorama of pop music in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia.
Her influence in the literary sphere also extends beyond the borders of Albania. Irma is a member of the jury of several literary competitions and has demonstrated a deep commitment to promoting literature and poetry..
She has published 26 books in Albanian, 20 in Italian, 11 in English and 2 in French. Her works are published in Italian and English and her books have crossed the borders of Albania to be appreciated in the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Kosovo, the Philippines, Cameroon, India and Chile.

This incredible guitar and clarinet duo combines classical music with melodies from various cultures from around the world, bringing an original, passionate and adventurous musical style to the stage.
Jâca's music reflects the versatility of their instruments. These two musicians started from the study of Western classical music and then mixed it with their native musical and cultural heritage.
Moving from Flamenco to Fado, from Appalachian to Argentine music, Jâca does not fit into any musical genre category. Wesley Ferreira (clarinettist) and Jaxon Williams (guitarist) breathe new life into the traditional concert experience, ignoring convention and leaving audiences electrified by their music.
Both musicians are famous in their respective fields of interest. Wesley Ferreira is an acclaimed soloist who draws inspiration from his Portuguese roots in creating original arrangements that often feature elements of Fado. Jaxon Williams is a flamenco guitarist, winner of numerous international competitions, described by many as a player capable of combining strength and grace within his music.
The duo has performed at concerts and music festivals around the world from North America to Europe. La Stampa describes them as one of the groups that are bringing new life to the genre of classical music, pushing it towards new horizons.
