Children, don’t miss the four story tales of each Thursday of June, with great “little heroes” from China.
Among the ideas and initiatives we imagined at the Museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography in Parma, here is one particularly intended for children, who are currently finishing their classes from a distance! "Story tales at the Chinese Museum", present on our Facebook and Youtube channels, show the "little Chinese heroes" who, thanks to their virtues and wisdom, point out with their example the way to live honestly and happily. In this way, children will be able to grasp the differences of our world.
“In a moment of enthusiasm for the reopening of the museum - tells Chiara Allegri, head of the museum's events and marketing -, we cannot forget the difficult period that children have gone through. They are a conscientious and demanding public. We are always ready to host them, but we also want to give them tales that are part of the great Chinese culture, but unknown to Italian children."
Our museum collection, whose pieces come from the areas in which the Xaverian missionaries worked (China, sub-Saharan Africa, Japan, the Amazon, America), has great use of stories suitable for both adults and children.
It will start with "Yang Xiang tackles the Tiger", followed by "Cheng Gong the master shepherd", "The brilliant idea of Yen Puo" and finally "Sima Guang, master of calm".
In addition, the museum offers a new tool: visitors can now undertake the visit of the collections, through the use of the app MuseOn. Easily downloadable on your device (Smartphone or tablet) once you arrive at the museum, it works without the use of Wi-Fi, and will allow you to live a personalized guided tour, including educational, audio and video screens, to facilitate the meeting between the visitor and the many cultures of the world that the Museum offers.
